nagi seishiro's marriage and divorce and remarriage: the movie (8/10)
today (well, at 12am i mean) me and my partner watched the episode nagi, the blue lock movie :)
i've already barfed out my thoughts on the blue lock anime in its entirety before, so i won't barf it out again. especially considering that this is 5
70% a recap movie... in fact, most of the movie is the first selection matchup between team z. but i've been told that the movie cuts out a good chunk of the actual episode nagi manga, which is still currently ongoing. that's a shame!! other than that, it's... well, it's blue lock, alright!! just in nagi's perspective!!
you don't miss too much, unless you like nagi.
and i really like nagi, so this was still a fun watch regardless :) part of me really resonates with him. i like the part where he and reo kissed... (what do you mean that didn't happen?? who asked YOU...)
we don't really get to see zantetsu's backstory in the anime. i appreciated it here. part of it made me sad, as it did reflect a bit of a cruel reality that if you're a slow person, you'll only be treated and acknowledged as such until you prove to everyone that you're worth respect. but shouldn't respect be a right, and not something to be earned? poor guy.
even with the cut content, i guess we aren't getting a second nagi movie huh? they DID end it at the u-20, which i think is a good place to wrap up the episode nagi manga too... speaking of manga, i'll find the time to pick up the actual blue lock manga at some point. my partner REALLY loves it, and told me they were already really looking forward to hear me gush about it hehe :3
